Costume List for Christmas Production

Here is the list of costumes for our Christmas production. Please have these in school by Friday 12th December at the latest.

Cinderella - a ragged, dirty old dress with apron
                   A ball gown

Ugly sisters - brightly coloured and patterned dress, hair wig, lip stick, blusher

Buttons - trousers and a jacket with lots of buttons, brightly coloured

Rocky - jeans, white t-shirt and a leather jacket, guitar (Miss Jenny has inflatable  one if needed)

Dan Deeny – trousers or jeans, t-shirt and sunglasses

Fairy brigade - tutu, leggings and a t-shirt. Light pastel colours. Boots, ballet style shoes, wings and a wand

Fairy Godmother - tutu, leggings, t-shirt, ballet shoes, wings, wand and a tiara. Bright colours

Fairy Nastyboots - tutu, leggings, boots, t-shirt, wand and wings. Earth colours for example greens, browns and black

Bakers - normal clothes with aprons and bakers hat

Warm up people and offstage inspectors - bright coloured outfits

Mirror - white or pale blue colours

Mice - brown or grey trousers and top with mouse ears

Birds - brown, grey, white, blue coloured trousers and t-shirt, bird beak and feathers if possible

Townspeople - normal clothes

Town criers - black trousers, red top, a bell

Teaser – brown, black or grey clothes, dog ears and a tail

Kitty - black and white clothes, cat ears and tail

Messengers - smart trousers, a white/black shirt and a black tie.

Foots man - black trousers, shirt. Tie and waistcoat or blazer (if possible)

Rocky 2 - jeans, white t-shirt and a leather jacket

Cinders 2 - a ragged, dirty old dress with apron

Monsieur Le Bunn – White clothing, baking apron and baking hat

Magazine reporters – Normal clothing, microphone and note book

Assessment Week

Hi all,

Next week is assessment week. We will have Maths, Reading and Spelling tests.

For revision in maths please look at the following websites and use your previous homework tasks. Choose any activity you like on these websites, try challenging yourself!

Lengua española 19-11-14

Hola a todos,
Esta semana no hay deberes pues tenemos los exámenes en la siguiente.
El viernes 21 comenzamos con el de comprensión lectora.
El lunes 24 tendremos el examen de ortografía (dictado).
El martes el de gramática y el miércoles el de expresión escrita (  la invitación).

Hoy hemos cogido un libro nuevo para el resumen que esta vez se entregará el 10-12 y que será el último del año.

Homework week 10

Hi everyone,

Hope you are enjoying being back at school!

Homework this week is English, Maths and Spelling.

In spelling the focus is prefixes. We will look at the prefixes in, im and il. Write each word 3 times and practice for a test next Wednesday.

In English you need to add in the correct questioning word and the punctuation.

Maths we are looking at addition and subtraction of number bonds to 100. Use written on mental methods to solve the equations.

We hope you are looking forward to coming back to school and have had a great half term.

Please remember we are now into our winter uniform and you need to be wearing this as of Monday 3rd of November.

We also have school photos this week. If you have PE on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday please do not wear your PE kit to school, keep it in your school bags.

Homework week 8

Happy Halloween everyone!

This weeks homework is English, Maths and Spelling.

For spelling everyone has 10 words to learn. Remember look, say, cover, write. Please practice your spelling words 3 times on the line.

In maths complete your multiplication grid. Do not put this in your homework books, keep it safe and we will stick them into you maths exercise books.

For English we would like you to keep a diary of your holidays. This should be done on a separate piece of paper or notebook. Lay the diary out like this and complete  each day with your own information.

Homework week 7

Hi everyone

This week we have 3 pieces of homework, English, Maths and Spelling.

For English you need to create an alphabet poem. This must include an adjective, a very and a noun in each line. These words should start with the same letter for each letter of the alphabet. For example busy buzzing bee.

In maths we have looked at multiplying and dividing by 10 and 100. Complete the equations following the instruction at the top of the robots. Try some of your own equations on the blank robots.

Spelling, as usual, you have 10 words which you need to learn for a spelling test next Wednesday.

Hola a todos, más vale tarde que nunca....
Para esta semana no hay deberes porque como es costumbre  cuando hay exámenes, dejo tiempo para estudiar y repasar.
En la agenda escolar de sus hijos/as está detallado qué examen tendrán cada día. 
Para cualquier duda me pueden encontrar cada día al finalizar la jornada escolar en el patio.

Next week we will start to make robots. Can everyone make a plan of what their robot will look like and what materials you will use.

Homework week 6

Hi everyone,

This week we have 4 pieces of homework: spelling, english, maths and science.

In spelling we are looking at words that are commonly misspelt. A spelling test will take place next Wednesday.

In English we have looked at speech. Simply complete the sentences adding in speech marks and the correct punctuation.

Maths focus is Venn diagrams. Complete the Venn diagrams with the information provided.

For science you need to create an A4 poster about electricity. Please take your time with these and make them lovely and eye catching as we will use these as our displays.

Homework Week 5

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all having a great week.

This weeks homework is English, Maths and Spelling.

The spelling focus this week is homophones. You need to learn all 10 words for a test next Wednesday.

In English we have been learning contractions. In your homework you need to match the words with their contraction by colouring them the same colour. Once you have matched all the words with their contractions choose 5 contractions and write a sentence for each.

In Maths we are looking at data handling. Using the bar chart answer the questions. Do not write on the homework sheet, write the answers in your homework book please.

Hi everyone,

Finally we have our blog!!!

This week's homework is English, Maths, Science and Spelling.

In English we are continuing to add an apostrophe to show something belongs to someone. re-write the sentences with an apostrophe added in the correct place.

In Maths you need to complete the time activities, do not worry if you find this difficult it is a revision of your Year 3 work. Which we will then use in class next week.

In science complete the sentences using the words in the box so they are factual about circuits. Once you have completed this draw a picture of a complete circuit and label each part.

Our spelling focus this week is homophones. Learn your words for a spelling test on Wednesday.
